The Ohio County Fiscal Court heard a presentation from Tara Ward Aug. 22 on behalf of the Ohio County Trail Town Task Force.

The project’s goal is to install access points to Rough River in the community, which would be predominantly used by canoers and kayakers. An access point on land donated by the Ellis King family has already been installed.

Ward said that there is a community in Indiana that sees approximately $2.8 million to $3.5 million in revenue yearly. Ward said she wants our community to receive the same fiscal benefits.
