Ohio County Animal Shelter Manager Kevin Crumb said that he has several ideas for the future of the shelter, and he thinks lots of positive changes are on the horizon with help from the new Animal Control Officer, Matthew Daniel.
The shelter usually has about 40 cats and 20 dogs, but due to the recent hurricanes in the south, the shelter has felt the effects of overcrowding and contains approximately 54 cats and 30 dogs.
They say that, in order to make this goal a reality, they need help from the community. In fact, the two have already begun brainstorming ideas for ways the community can get involved, including potential fundraisers, open houses and sponsorships in the future.
