UPDATE: Police are investigating a bank robbery that occured this morning in Centertown.
At approximately 9:56 a.m., Ohio County Central Dispatch Center received a call from the Commonwealth Community Bank in Centertown reporting a robbery. The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office along with Kentucky State Police, Beaver Dam Police Department, Hartford Police Department, and Centertown Police Department responded to the scene.
According to police, the suspect reportedly entered the bank and demanded money from the tellers. He was described as a black male approximately 6 feet tall and 150-175 pounds, medium build and short black hair. He was wearing a black and burgundy hooded Reebok jacket, black bandana with white design over his face, black pants and was carrying a black Adidas duffle bag. The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of money and is still at large.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $500 cash reward for the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the robbery. Commonwealth Community Bank is also offering a $500 cash reward for the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the robbery.

The robbery of Commonwealth Community Bank’s Centertown Office was reported to dispatch at a 9:56 a.m. A black male reportedly robbed the bank before fleeing east on foot. As of 2:30 p.m., the suspect was still at large.
