Former Armstrong Coal Officials Indicted

Eight accused of falsifying air quality tests


A federal grand jury in Bowling Green indicted eight former Armstrong Coal Company officials last week on charges of falsifying air quality tests in coal mines located in Ohio and Muhlenberg counties.

The grand jury returned indictments against Charles Barber, 63, of Madisonville, Brian Keith Casebier, 60, of Earlington, Steven Demoss, 48, of Nortonville, Billie Hearld, 41, of Russellville, Ron Ivy, 49, of Manitou, John Ellis Scott, 61, of South Carollton, Dwight Fulkerson, 40 of Drakesboro and Jeremy Hackney 45 of White Plains.
