BEAVER DAM — Jo Ann Black Westerfield, 80, died Monday, July 16, at her home. Born November 15, 1937 in Horton, to the late John Thomas Black and Nanalee Kirtley Black. Mrs. Westerfield retired from Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida and was formerly employed by Ohio County Hospital as Director of Medical Records. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Westerfield; four brothers, John W. Black, Thomas V. Black, A.W. Black, and Edgar Black; and two sisters, Betty Maupin and Alma Alford.
Survivors include children; Greg Westerfield of Beaver Dam, Tracye Westerfield of Hartford and Tammy Westerfield of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Conner Black of Ft. Mill, S.C. and Bobby Charles Black of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Paula (Carl) Boyd of Masonville. Mrs. Westerfield was blessed with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, July 19, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Dr. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Burial to follow follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
