School superintendent search underway

The search to fill the position of Ohio County Schools superintendent, left vacant when Scott Lewis resigned last month, is underway.

Interim Superintendent Seth Southard said the position has been posted and applications will be accepted until the regularly scheduled board of education meeting set for Feb. 28.

Once applications have been submitted, the board will form an official search /screening committee consisting of two Ohio County teachers, one classified employee, one board member, one parent and one principal.

This committee will review all the applications and make recommendations to the board who will then determine which candidates it would like to consider and interview.
