On 10/07/2019 deputies of the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, officers of the Hartford Police Department, and troopers of the Kentucky State Police converged on a home in the Hartford area in reference to locating an individual who had several active warrants for his arrest.
Deputies had received information the suspect was at a home in the 1000 Block of White Avenue in Hartford. The suspect was identified as George Clapp, 40. Once inside, officers located 149 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a handgun, and several items used to sell and/or consume the drug.
Mr. Clapp was arrested without incident. He was charged with one (1) count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), one (1) count of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine), one (1) count of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, and one (1) count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, officers served the four (4) active arrest warrants as well.
He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
