While the rainfall early this week did provide some relief, September’s lack of measurable rain has had an impact on Ohio County as well as the entire state.

The upcoming forecast shows continued relief from the record heat of the previous few weeks, but the long-term outlook indicates below-normal precipitation for the next 30 days. The National Weather Service reported that while Sunday and Monday’s rain didn’t erase the drought, any little bit helps.
